Herbs are beautiful in August. They are all at their peak, leaning on each other, invading everyone's space. It's time to start harvesting and getting out the drying racks. Lemon basil, genovese basil, greek oregano, thyme, sage, rosemary, yarrow, pineapple sage, bergamot, roses, lemon grass, sassafrass, hibiscus sabdariffa, elderberry, coconut geranium. All waiting for me to trim and dry.
I am so happy!
Update:
Husband is home, only one more chemo treatment left. We go to Md Anderson for a bone marrow transplant after that.

At last, January is on the horizon!
I have gotten 3 catalogs already this week; I check the mail like a junkie and look for more.
This month I will scan my new catalogs and plot out my gardens. When February finally arrives packets of seed will be rolling in and the little flats will be on tables next to the sunniest spots in the house!
I am beside myself.
You know what that means? Seed catalogs! potting soil!
